Eduardo Aguin, MD MPH FACOG

Dr Eduardo Aguin is a board certified physician through the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He completed his residency at Wayne State University in 2012 at Detroit Medical Center, and he had extended training in Maternal Fetal Medicine (high risk obstetrics) at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Aguin has more than 20 years of experience delivering babies and women’s care. He was born and raised in Venezuela, and became a medical doctor at the University of Carabobo in 2003. Dr. Aguin graduated with several Excellence Awards such as teaching assistant experience, follow by postgraduate studies in Public Health.
He speaks 3 languages: English, Spanish and Portuguese. He hols medical licenses in Florida and Michigan, and work experience in several well known hospitals in both States. Dr. Aguin has extensive research experience with several publications in high risk obstetrics and multiple research presentation awards.

In addition, Dr. Aguin has medical teaching experience as Clinical Assistant Professor at Michigan State University in the Department of Osteopathic Surgical Specialties, and as Clinical Assistant Professor at Florida State University in the Department of Medicine Sarasota.

Dr. Aguin is a member of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Society for Gynecological Investigation, the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, and the American Medical Association.
With a passion for delivering babies and minimally invasive gynecological surgery, Dr Aguin founded is own practice, Lotus Women’s Health in 2023, and he looks forward to providing the highest level of care to women in our community. He practices medicine based on evidence while treating each patient as his own family.
When Dr. Aguin is not helping patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son, daughter, family and friends. He interested on learning about new cultures and places. Keep a look out, you might see him playing sports, running, or cycling around the Lakewood Ranch area.

Angie Scarpa

My name is Angie Scarpa and I’m married to my husband Tony and have three boys: Nick, Tony, and Johnny! I’m originally from Chicago. I went to USF in Tampa where I got my Bachelors of science in nursing. I was a labor and delivery nurse for 13years. Then I went back to school at the University of Cincinnati and received my masters degree and became a certified nurse midwife/ARNP. I’ve been working as a midwife since 2015. boating, fishing, exercising, and shopping
